What can I say? This book got me hooked on science fiction. I remember reading this book over and over again in grade school. If you want to introduce a child to science fiction, more specifically time travel, this is the book for you if you can find it.....

I used this book last year for a research paper and found that it contained all the information I needed about the Canadian health care system. It is a great perspective for considering the US system as well.

Each of the thirty chapters is written in the form of a chat with a prospective convert. An explanation and a proof of the chief doctrines of the Catholic Religion are fully given in language suited to the average person.

This book follows a well worn pattern but does it well. A small section is devoted to each name, its tartan is illustrated and, in this case, a major advantage is the inclusion of the heraldic drawings of the chief's arms and in some cases, standards, by the late Don Pottinger, Islay Herald at the Court of the Lord Lyon.

The limitation of this formula is that is it virtually impossible to say anything meaningful in such a short space about a whole clan and often the illustrations of the tartans are too small to allow the full sett to be seen.

This book finds the same problems when describing each name but its tartans are better than most, although it is impossible, for instance, to see the whole pattern of the Cameron of Lochiel tartan as illustrated. Useful additions, however, are some of the main branches of each clan, and,where one exists, its slogan or battle-cry.

Some names are included which are not clans but families for whom a tartan is named. Particularly useful for those not already familiar with it is the map showing main clan locations on pp52-55. This is the work of Don Pottinger and the late Sir Iain Moncreiffe of that Ilk, Albany Herald and it contains a wealth of information.

There are a number of useful articles included in the text and the whole book is most atractively laid out. A good introduction to the subject and well above the usual standard.

Have used this book many times to clarify technical jargon for beginning computer tech students. An outstanding initial reference work for technical trainers. Hope to see it updated soon

I have just completed a week long research trip to Cornwall New York and found this book invaluable. It is concise, accurate, and loaded with phtographs and factoids that make study of Cornwall a breeze. Colette Fulton and Janet Dempsey have done their homework. Highly recommend.

How does one convey the sense of what it means to write poetry? Read "Your Card Read 'Poet-Mechanic'" in this volume to understand the power of Alice Fulton's work. How can one conceivably write a poem about dust? Read "Toward Clairvoyance" to appreciate her brilliance. This book is a work that grabs your instinct and won't let go.

This full-cast audio production is subtle and quiet, yet full of fantasy and adventure. The story begins as a young woman shows Jack Flanders his own business card. He confronts a genie in a palace who speaks to him in his own voice. Dreams of India is a mystical journey that explores themes such as growing old, letting go, and the continual quest of Jack to be the one who watches. It is filled with lush sounds recorded in the streets of India, as well as history and poetry. Very enjoyable.

Excellent startup book for someone like me who is interested to learn key aspects in shortest possible time and does not have patience to study thick reference books and wants to apply it straightaway.

This is an excellent book for majority of people who donot have time to attend courses but quickly need to learn the basics and apply straightway to their business.

This is a perfect book for anyone who likes a good mystery now and then. It gives you in interesting look behind the camera of a soap opera. The plot thickens with every page and there is always something to keep you on the edge of your seat. Even without the book in your hands you are thinking about the how, what, and whys of the murder cases. This series is a must have.
